If you are lucky enough to have a natural creek or pond on your property, you can easily incorporate it into your landscaping. These three creeks at our Orting house gave us year-round sound and splashing scenes in woodland.

Natural water sources are fragile components of ecosystems, so it is best to landscape around them with native plants. Leave logs and branches in the creeks to provide habitat for microorganisms, insects, and fish.
