Hanging Gardens is a unique natural formation on the walls of the Green River Gorge.
A variety of ferns, small plants, and even trees have taken hold in the vertical surface.
The rusty red gate is the only indication you have found the trailhead, since there are no signs.
A smooth trail soon give way to a path filled with logs and debris.
It becomes very steep in places,
but opens up again just before the river.
The trail ends in a grove of cedars and hemlocks, with a dropoff to the river.
