O'Grady Natural Area contains more than five miles of trails, plus an access road closed to all but county maintenance vehicles.
The descent and return back up on the access road is steep but smooth.
New trails are being added,
some with gravel surfaces.
Since much of the area is wet, the new trails cross creeks and wetlands.
Many of the trails are steep and twisty,
and lead to harmless crashes.
The trees and undergrowth open up at the rivebank.
It is a hard climb up the river bank,
and out the access road to parking.
