The Thomas Street Overpass takes you from the Elliott Bay Trail across the multiple Burlington Northern rail lines and a four-lane highway
to a residential area leading to Seattle Center and the Space Needle.
The approach is a right turn off a bayside spur of the main trail.
An obsrvation deck was built into the bridge's right-angle turn.
As you cross, you pass the upper floors of neighborhood buildings,
make another right-angle turn, and descent to street level.
