Undeveloped
Enumclaw Foothills Trail
Enumclaw Area Offroad Rides
The south section of the undeveloped Enumclaw Foothills Trail is currently unpaved, but level and straight.  In the spring and summer, the only challenge i is plowing through the berry vines, nettles, and tall grass.
This is not that bridge. It was a slime covered crossing of a small tributary of Boise Creek.

The steep banks made traction difficult, and it was impossible to get much of a running start with the angled approaches.
The first improvements on the undeveloped south section of the trail included a replacement of the narrow wooden bridge.
When it is completed, the trail will go all the way to the White River. There a bike bridge will connect with the Buckley section on the other side.

In the spring and summer, the only challenge i is plowing through the berry vines, nettles, and tall grass.

In other seasons, mud is a problem, sometimes compounded with ice and snow.
The undeveloped section to the north of the paved Enumclaw Foothills Trail is also a straight railbed, but goes through farms instead of forest.
While the south segment follows Boise Creek, the north part crosses Newaukum Creek.
A bridge made from railroad trestle timber is better suited to two wheels than three, but there is another way to get across.
