The south section of the undeveloped Enumclaw Foothills Trail is currently unpaved, but level and straight. In the spring and summer, the only challenge i is plowing through the berry vines, nettles, and tall grass.
This is not that bridge. It was a slime covered crossing of a small tributary of Boise Creek.
The steep banks made traction difficult, and it was impossible to get much of a running start with the angled approaches.
The first improvements on the undeveloped south section of the trail included a replacement of the narrow wooden bridge.
When it is completed, the trail will go all the way to the White River. There a bike bridge will connect with the Buckley section on the other side.

The undeveloped section to the north of the paved Enumclaw Foothills Trail is also a straight railbed, but goes through farms instead of forest.
While the south segment follows Boise Creek, the north part crosses Newaukum Creek.
A bridge made from railroad trestle timber is better suited to two wheels than three, but there is another way to get across.
