The trail starts out easy, and the river is not far away.
Riding along the shoreline is difficult in most places,
although there are a few beaches.
In some places, the trail follows a bank above the water.
The Class V rapids tumble over boulders, making the river here dangerous for all but expert kayakers.
A few miles of steep ups and downs
and a ride through the lush forest
complete your loop and bring you back to the parking lot.
