  Just got back from Longbeach last night after a week of non-stop
Tako-Kichi.

  Started out with being drafted to deliver Philippe Gallot, Ludo Petit
and Sarah, Ludos' daughter, to Longbeach from Tacoma.  We had a great
drive with all of them doing serious headspins at all the scenery along
the way.  Before we got into town I took them on a side trip across
the Columbia River on the Astoria Bridge to the Astor Tower.  The air
was very clear and the view superb.  Philippe and Sarah took some Indonesian
paper kites and manja up the tower and flew a match off the observation
platform while Ludo took snapshots below.  Philippe suffered some vertigo,
but it had to be done.  No option.  ;)

  After unloading and supper I took Philippe over to meet Gina, Michelle,
Johnny and Basir who kept him up far too late cracking jokes after such
a drastic time-zone shift.
