Friday started out with more howling wind and blowing sand. It hadn't
let up all night. I met Gina downtown and we walked to the Kite Museum
and took a tour through. Finally forked over some cash to officially
support the museum. Felt better immediately.

Outside it was still blowing, but Bob Harris and Jennifer Snyder were
assembling their huge (Babu?) kite with hummers and the aid of Ty Billings,
J.R. Tolman and a lot of supervisors ;) They had a loose leaf folder
full of assembly photos they were attempting to decipher. Seems they got
it right eventually.

I went down to the ball park and flew fighters for a while. When I got
back to the museum Philippe and Ludo were giving a tape interview for
Pat and the Kite Museum, and later Philippe gave descriptions of all the
various kites he was donating to Kay.

After all that we went back to the beach tent where Philippe helped
people make more mylar kites and Ludo made a dozen or so paper Indonesian
kites.

I got an invitiation to dinner at the Ark restaurant in Nahcotta. You'll
usually need reservations to get in there, and it's pricey, but the food
and views are terrific. I managed to blow $48 on various & sundry.
Well worth it.
