1996 Alcan Winter Rally - Day Three

Fort Nelson, B.C. to Whitehorse, Yukon

The first part of today's journey included some of the best scenery so far. The following photos where taken in the Muncho Lake and Liard River areas. We also crossed the highest area of the Alaska Highway, 4000 ft.

This mountain struck me with its resemblance to Mt. St. Helen's in Washington State.

Mist appears to be rising from a river along the side of the road. Considering the temperature, near zero, it might be fog.

This is part of a sign forest in Watson Lake, Yukon.
