The Official Move Internet Mailing List, "Useless Information," is a very active, private e-mail list dedicated to the discussion of the Move, Roy Wood, and all related artists and projects. Founded in September 1993, the Move List has thousands of subscribers from all over the world who are first to hear about new releases, live performances, media appearances, etc. with information received direct from the artists, management and record companies. The Move List is offered in two versions: a talk (or "bounce") format, and a digest format. Posts are forwarded immediately to each member of the "talk" list. People on this list get information instantly and have an easier time conducting conversations with other list members on Move-related topics. The digest list is the option for people who can't receive a lot of mail, or simply can't keep up with the mail on the talk list. Each digest is edited to contain only the substantive posts submitted to the talk list. You will not have to wade through signature files or attached original messages. Digest members can still post to the talk list as often as they wish. Traffic on the talk list can be heavy at times. If you don't want to receive a lot of Move mail, you may want to subscribe to the "digest" instead. If you're not sure which format is right for you, feel free to subscribe to both the "talk" list and the "digest" list simultaneously to see which option you like best.
