- Club membership is for life unless caught operating in a
list or DX Net which will mean immediate dismissal (of
course). New members will be admitted to the club,
whether they desire admission or not, with unanimous
approval of current members who take the time to vote.
- All club members are eligible (and encouraged) to use the
club callsign (K7ED) for contest participation when
approved by the Club Callsign Custodian (a mere formality
to ensure that only one member is using the call during a
contest!). Members will be encouraged to operate together
in Field Day, DX contests, Sweepstakes, etc. in the
multi-op categories from a Contest Super Station(tm).
- Elections take place on the first day of each decade (or
sooner depending on circumstances) for President, Vice
President, QSL Coordinator, Secretary, and Treasurer.
None of these positions will be required to do any extra
work nor will they have any real or imagined
responsibilities or authority.
- Members must be willing to drop everything to operate
from a Contest Super Station(tm) when the opportunity
arises. These operations might be single-op or team
efforts with other club members in one of the multi-op
categories. Team efforts are (of course) preferred.
- All QSLs will be answered 100% (via the bureau or sase).
Members who choose to will equally share both the cost
and labor of QSLing - these are the only club dues. Club
members may occasionally choose to share in the cost of a
contest operation (food and beverages for Field Day, room
and board payments to generous Super Station(tm) owners,
travel expenses, etc.) Other "Special Tariffs"
will require 100% approval of those being taxed.
- Official Club Meetings will take place when cards arrive
from the QSL bureau or (if no cards arrive) on an
irregular basis. Meetings will be held at various
locations, usually near large inexpensive supplies of
semi-nourishing foods and intoxicating beverages.
- Scores generated by club events will be accredited to the
Western Washington DX Club
for publication in various Amateur Radio Journals.
