As of the most recent update, we've heard from:
Leva Mevis, Constance Cochran, Batya "The Toon"
Levin, Tara O'Shea, Lindy Hensley, Jordan Mann, Lori Summers, Aesop,
and Ordeysia.
We're waiting for full reports from:
Chris Rogers
Scott Mercure
Among those we'd like to hear from are:
Merlin Missy, Ryan "Proteus" Stout, Jeff and Mary
Morris, Stephanie Lostimolo, Therese Sinclair, Tim Reynard, and many more!
If you have anyone you'd like to add to this list,
or know something about someone, please share!
I'll never stop writing, but most of my stuff going forward will not be Gargoyles fanfiction.
Currently, I own a horse and have recently "adopted" a horse bulletin
board. The link is http://www.firefox.org/eweb/
-- fair warning, the
board is best known in the online horse world for users with an attitude!
Horses are as much a part of my life as fandom, anymore; maybe
a little more. (In a choice between a horsey hug and a night staring
at a chat room, I'll pick the horsey hug. Even if she does have green
slobber.)
I work for a major prescription benefits manager, and I'm saving up
for a house of my own, one nickle at a time. I'm also about to hang
out my shingle as a web designer, to try to earn some extra money towards
the house goal.

What I'm Working On:
The Third Rainbow, a shared-universe
original fantasy series that the staff collectively hopes to get published
in print. Several short stories,
which I really need to finish. Two Elseworlds ideas (one co-written)--also
hopefully to be published by The Powers That Be at DC Comics.
Other story concepts that exist in outline form that could turn into
novels, screenplays, or one-shot comic books. One completed novel with
about ten pages of a sequel, which I want to get back to but it's not
a high priority right now. A few pop culture essays. I'd like to try writing
spec scripts for tv.
Why No Gargoyles At the Moment:
3 years ago I contracted a repetitive strain injury from too much computer
use. Since I have to ration my typing time, I've tried very hard to
put original projects first. Fanfic is a tough addiction to knock,
though. I'm involved in a "Tale Spin" virtual season (Tale Spin: High Flight,
http://fly.to/highflight) which
has a staff of about a dozen and takes most of what little time I can allot
for fanfic. The TS fandom is on the rise
but still small, like Gargoyles was at the beginning. The Gargoyles
fanfic archives are thriving and bulging with stories--Tale Spin's more
of a
frontier and I like that.
Otherwise I do very little fanfic, save for 1 or 2 shorter fics in the
Batman universe. I tried not to write them. Honest. But the creativity
demons
were rather...intimidating. (Heh. *YOU* try saying "no" to Nightwing,
Batgirl, or Batman <g>) One of these days Goliath and company will
decide I've neglected them long enough and start eye-glowing at me
and then I'll really be in trouble...I would love to do a short Gargoyles
fanfic if the creativity demons attack. For me to do fanfiction
these days, though, the creativity demon has to be pretty scary and insistent.
Writing anything, original or fanfiction, is a tough job and I'd like
to see about going pro.
A lot of my original projects (that is, works with the possiblity of
professional publication) are often (but, I hope, not *always*) retellings
or
based on prefab characters anyway. What I've learned from doing fanfiction
is always with me. Some wise person once said there are only
10 plots in the world, but infinite ways to retell them. "Gargoyles"
and other characters I write fanfic for has and always will always influence
my original ideas, in atmosphere or conception.

What I've Been Up To (in no particular order): Marriage. Work. School. Roleplaying games. Writing.
What I've Been Writing: You can check out the "Scribblings" page
at my webpage for some of my invidivual writings, including short stories,
an essay or two, a little poetry, and (of course) a whole big bunch
of filksongs. I'm also involved with the group writing projects "TaleSpin:
High Flight" and "The Third Rainbow."
And, as always, I'm working on a piece of novel.
Why I Haven't Been Writing Gargfic: Oh, but I have! Well,
some. A little. I just haven't finished anything in a long
while. For those of you
who've seen some of the old in-progress pieces, you might be interested
to know that "Auld Lang Syne" is still in progress. I also want to
find
out if TGS wants to keep my old outline for "Cedars Of Lebanon" or
if I can have it back to play with.
But I haven't really been doing much fanfic lately. I've got a
number of outlines and scenes for Buffy The Vampire Slayer 'fic, and I
don't think
any of them will ever get finished either. (With the exception
of "Highway, Heading North", which can be found on my website.)
Miss me? Feel free to email: batyatoon@hotmail.com.
Basically, I'm a serial monogomist with tendencies to cheat on one fandom with another...
I strated off, oh these many years ago (11, to be exact), in "Robin
of Sherwood" fandom. Then, as time went by, I "cheated" on RoS by
writing "Forever Knight" and "Highlander" fiction. Then I left those
poor immortals out in the cold, forsaking them for the adventure of "Earth
2" fandom--with side trips to "Lois & Clark" and "Due South" keeping
me busy on the non-fanfic-writing fannish front.
Then came "Gargoyles." And it slowly began to edge our e2 in my affections, eclipsing all else...
...until vr.5 and Star Trek: Voyager took over my fever brain. But what's this? a lovely blonde spy named "Nikita"?
That was two years ago.
Now, I've left my spy for a deceased green-eyed Irish half-demon, and the actor who plays him...
I'm a wanderer, what can I say?
Sure, I dashed off two Trek stories last year (both of which, I was
shocked to discover, won ASC awards). Sure, I've been known to return to
fandoms after cruelly abandonning them.
But it takes a momentus act of will.
And bribery.
Have I mentioend dark chocolate covered candied orange peel will motivate me to great feats?
Oh, and then there' this whole "real life" thing, that involves creating
websites for Aon Corporation, helping to run the Food Co-Op that feeds
the cats and crew of the Bristol Renaissance Faire, and a certain backflip
boy who trumps all my fictional lovers...
I miss you all, but I'm never un-findable, I swear :) And who knows?
Now that Missy has moved to Chicago (my hometown and current locale),
I may be tempted to write again someday...
Especially since falling in love with the 10th Kingdom, which just SCREAMS cross-over, dontcha think?
Let's see. I have been working... emphasis on the word working. It seems
to take all my time and energy that I don't give to friends and family.
I
write interactively with a good friend in Oklahoma. Some of the stories
are slated to be rewritten and, hopefully, submitted for publication. Someday...
Other than that, I have a domain and website for original writing and
artwork. All webdesign and graphics are original as well. I welcome any
contributors who want a place to put up their work... once the core
group approves of course. Adult fiction is welcome. (Looks at Christine...
that quality please.) Check out http://www.stonehermit.net.
Why Phoenix you ask? Well after G98 my life went into something of a
downward spiral (nothing involving debt or drugs or anything) I just
found myself bouncing from bad job to bad play and back. Frustrated,
I sublet my apartment, got a Greyhound ticket packed two bags and
a bokken and headed west. I won't bore you with the details of my time
in Phoenix, but you can see production photos of my shows on my
website. I got to do Shakespeare ala Monty Python, 2 musicals, and
more!
Now I'm In LA determined to break into "the biz" once and for all!
Not that I was a prolific writer like most listed here but you are welcome to check out my website at: www.poortheater.com/index2.html
I did write my first piece of fan-fic, not so much a story as a character
study, but you can check out my perspective on Xander Harris on
Constance's "Asphalt Reflections"
At the moment I'm sporadically working on a filk song cycle- Tolkien's
Lord of the Ring Cycle set to songs by Simon and Ganfunkle. I've
wriiten 2, have two in development and hope that no more creativity
demons bite me because I fear for society otherwise...
Anyway, my life is relatively mundane, so if any of you in Los Angeles
want to abduct me and drag me to a filk sing or something.... I won't
protest.
I've committed the academic equivalent of running away to join the circus,
ditched my previous program and started a PhD in forensic
anthropology. My first novel is being prepped for publication,
and I'm writing boatloads of Harry Potter fanfic. Email me about
it if you
like! I'm now working fulltime at Borders where I can indulge
all literary fetishes, and I'm obsessed with my new DVD player.
She's currently brain plotting 2 more Gargoyles mini-series, hoping
that they'll get written before she dies. But alas, as most of her heart
stickswith the Gargoyles, she has been lured away by pale fainting
guys who chase after Headless Ghosts. In other words, she's become
insanely obssessed over the movie "Sleepy Hollow" She currently writes
fan fiction about Young Masbath, and role plays him on a regular
basis.
And of course, Cross-overs for Ordeysia are never far behind. Trust
us, you haven't heard the last of Ordeysia. She'll make a come back
one of these days and scare us again with her oddly written fan fic.
(While on her haitus, she writes paraodies about her friends by using
Weird Al songs).
