In this photograpy workshop, artist and teacher Kenji Tachibana will help us to selectively focus our vision toward a Jungian way of seeing, emphasizing storytelling with images captured from our experience.
The three-hour workshop offers a slide show, lecture, and opportunity for questions. We will discuss basic photographic concepts, such as composition, storyboarding, character, scene, and the use of long-range and detail shots. Participants will have opportunity to have a hands-on experience using a digital camera.
Kenji Tachibana has been creating images since 1961. He went to the Art Center College of Design, graduating with honors in photography and design. After a long, successful career in advertising photography in Los Angeles, he moved to Seattle in 1982.
