White Fir Stump Chair

This 60-foot white fir was dying and dangerously close to the house, so we had it removed from the top down, but leaving a six-foot stump. I cut the notch to place the seat four feet above the ground. The high back accents the verticality of the stump, and the difficulty of getting in and out of the chair adds further interest.
