Like #16, this bench was also placed in the front yard of our daughter's house across the street. The tree-through-frame design discourages it from walking off. Here, one rhododendron trunk branches around the tree, while in #16, two large branches were joined together.

The extended 2x4 frame allows for a cantilevered seat. Large steel pins secure it to the two S-shaped front legs, which flare out at the bottom and join together at the top.
