The Hiawatha Trail begins in Montana at the entrance to the tunnel under St. Regis Pass. When you come out on the other side, you are in Idaho. The trail currently has eight tunnels and seven high trestles.
Lights are required, and spare batteries are a good idea. Also remember to carry plenty of water.
This tunnel is cold and damp year round.
This is Doreen's first tunnel. Jack follows.
The trail is not paved, but is relatively smooth. Wider tires make it a little easier.
Doreen reads interpretive literature along the way.
The shuttle back to the top. (You still have to ride back through the long tunnel.)
