What I Do: Senior Project Manager, responsible for decontamination and decommissioning projects funded by the U.S. Department of Energy Environmental Restoration Project at the Hanford Site.

What I've Done: Commissioned into the Regular Army in 1969; served six years on active duty as an engineer officer in Korea, the Federal Republic of Germany, and the United States. After leaving the military in 1975, moved to the Tri-Cities, Washington; employed by Battelle, Pacific Northwest Laboratory as a project engineer. Joined the U.S. Department of Energy in 1981, and had assignments with the Fast Flux Test Facility Project Office, the Site Services Division, the Surplus Facilities Management Program Office, and currentlly, with the Environmental Restoration (ER) Project.

Assignments within the ER Project have included: Reactor Decommissioning Environmental Impact Statement manager; Hanford Surplus Facilities Program manager; CERCLA/RCRA Operable Unit manager; ER technology functional manager; ER-Storage and Disposal Facility project manager; ER Program Branch Chief; and, Planning and Controls Team Leader.

Education: BS Engineering, Idaho State University; MS Organizational Development, Central Washington University. Military: Engineer Officer Basic, Construction, and Advanced Courses; Command & General Staff Officer College.

Military: Six years on active duty in the U.S. Army and over 20 years in the U.S. Army Reserve. Assignments included staff officer, training company commander, instructor, training battalion commander, and training brigade executive officer.

Project Management: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute (PMI). Served as the Vice President, Marketing (1995) for the Tri-Cities/ Columbia Basin Chapter of PMI. Currently serving as the President of the same Chapter. Iinstructor for the PMP Certification curriculum (Time); taught PM-502 in the Tri-Cities for the City University, Master of Project Management curriculum.

Hobbies: Computers, camping, aerobics, grandkids.
