Work Stuff:
- CH2M Hill Hanford currently employs me in Richland, Washington as an
Environmental Engineer. I conduct building and underground storage tank
characterization investigations, and follow up with decommissioning and
decontamination (D&D) of the same.
- My primary responsibilities include development of characterization
plans, sampling and analysis plans, and task instructions for D&D work
activities. I also conduct Site Investigations and Permanent Closures of
Underground Storage Tanks (UST’s) in accordance with Washington State and
EPA regulations.
- Other responsibilities involve development of characterization and
demolition estimates, subcontract specifications, and decommissioning field
procedures.
- My current career goal is to move from project field work to project
management.

- Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Science Education, University of Montana,
Missoula, Montana
- Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering, University of Washington,
Seattle, Washington
- Postgraduate work in both Education and Civil Engineering; currently
enrolled in the City University Master of Project Management program.
Other Stuff
- I have two wonderful children and one marvelous wife (or is it the
other way around? No, I’m sure that’s it.)
- I have traveled extensively in South America, North America and Europe.

- I enjoy camping, swimming, hiking, and strategic simulation gaming
(what is that, you ask? Well… Go, Chess, and Riskä
are all examples, but there are many, many others. Some my favorites are
Civilization, KingMaker, Diplomacy, Full Thrust,
and Dune.)
