Here's a bit about myself and what I do. As you know, my name
is Robert Mauro. I was born in New York City on 9/25/46. In 1973
I moved out to Long Island. I contracted polio at age
5 in 1951. I use a respirator and a motorized wheelchair. I do
all my computing lying down, not being able to sit at a desk for
long periods of time as a result of 3 spinal fusions in 1960-61.

I received my B.A. (in Sociology) in 1976 from Hofstra University
on Long Island. That year I made my first professional sale as a
writer. Since then I've had four books published. The first is
called TWO CHARACTER PLAYS FOR STUDENT ACTORS, and it has an
introduction by Gary Burghoff, who plays Radar on M*A*S*H. My
second book is called ON STAGE! SHORT PLAYS FOR ACTING STUDENTS,
and it has been endorsed by the First Lady of the American Theatre,
noted actress Helen Hayes. They are available from MERIWETHER
PUBLISHING, LTD., Box 7710, Colorado Springs, CO 80933.

I've also sold over 150 plays and articles.

I edit and publish the PeopleNet DisAbility DateNet Home Page by
and for disabled singles, and anyone interested in love,
relationships and sexuality. Find it at:

I presently write the "Computer Talk" column for disabled
computer users in Able Newspaper. I have written a booklet called
"TOTAL Computer Literacy By & For Disabled Persons," available from
PeopleNet, POB 897, Levittown, NY 11756-0897. Send a SASE for info
on all my books, including my REAL CRIP SEX booklet.
