Hi Annemie
I am a speech pathologist who works with people who use ventilators and
teach them frog breathing (glossopharyngeal breathing). It is handy to
learn for emergency purposes. I know of very few people who can use it in
place of breathing. The technique is basically gulping in air using your
tongue and mouth and vocal cords to push it down into your lungs. Its a
little tricky to do, really need someone to demonstrate and measure how
much you were able to get into your lungs.
