Hello Karen ...welcome aboard. I have a trach , use oxygen 24 hours a day,
and use a vent at night due to a paralyzed diaphragm. I am ambulatory, drive
my own car and am pretty independent with my care. My husband helps out when
I get a mucous plug. I 'm 39 and have had my trach since Sept. 3, 1996. If
you have any questions just ask. There are quite a few of us out here.
