I'm new to this group. I'm a 34 year old man with Duchenne Muscular
Dystrophy. I'm classified as quadraplegic and am mostly dependent on a
vent. I'm not trached. I use a mouthpiece supported by a gooseneck clamp
connected to my wheelchair. I can breath on my own for a short time (5 to
15 minutes) using "frog breathing" before I tire out. I'm using a 2801
Companion volume ventilator with a sigh setting.
