My PLV-100 cost around $10,000 a few years ago.
I'm curious as to whether you could mix types of vents, as the PLV is a
volume-controlled IPP device and the BiPaP is a continuous flow device.

What is the estimated cost of the PLV-100? I have two old Bennett
500's spread around house and use the BiPaP S/T as primary. The
Bennett's are quiet noisy and the noise bothers my wife. I would love
to have somethiing quieter. By the way, BiPaP is at bed side for use
at night while on rocking bed. The Bennetts are in bathroom and by
table where I eat. I had spinal bulbar polio in '48 at age 17, in
iron lung for six months. I was vent free from 1949 - 1963. I first
started with rocking bed and later added vents. I use mask at night
and mouth piece during day - no treak, yet.
