Crapy Oxigen Tanks!

I use D"size" tanks. my provider has been sending these unsightly
Cast-Iron tanks That have said stamped or Stickered"Keg-Beer, A Welding
company name, U.S. Navy, Army" That dosen't seem right does it! How in
the world do I know whats was or is in there before O2? Could be
tainted?? ;( Has anyone had a problem like this??
