Hello,
I have several friends who are quadriplegic and ventilator-dependent.
They are presently living in a residential hospital setting, and some
are exploring the options of moving into a more independent situation.
As many of you already know, getting agencies to support the move is
tough. I have been asked to write a letter in support of the move
(focusing on the move being psycologically advantageous). It seems to
me, the strongest arguments both pro and con would come from members of
this group. If you have a moment to send a few lines that you wouldn't
mind having me quote, I would appreciate your efforts.
Having been a more 'silent' member of this group for several years, I
have enjoyed how this list has grown and how the information is now
'getting out into the world'. Your information has assisted me in
working with a very special group of people. Keep up the excellent
work.
