Hello Everyone!

My husband and I recently received a letter from our power company. They said
that this summer the risk of power outages is greater than usual. ( I live in
Connecticut and a couple of our neuclear power stations have been shut down
due to poor conditions). They said they would try to notify us if voltage
reduction or power interruptions were likely. They encouraged us to have an
alternate source of electric power for when these situations occur. My vent
only has a one hour back up battery. It's an LP6. How many of you have
generators at home for these types of situations? What kind are they? How
many watts are they? Is this something that an insurance company would pay
for all or in part? I would need one that is quiet so I wouldn't disturb the
neighbors. I know they are costly $400.00 +.... I would greatly appreciate
feed back on this as summer is right around the corner.

Thanks! Sue (Trach96)
