I hope I'm not intruding but I'd like to ask a few questions.
I have a 22 Month Old son who is dependent on 5 liter of oxygen and O2 sat is only at 87 on a good day. His doctors want to put him on a vent. Austin is totally non verbal and does not communicate. I cannot ask him how he'll feel about it, so I'd like to ask you. Does it hurt??? He's has been through so much pain in his short life and I shudder to think I'd be causing him more. And what exactly are the ligistics of taking care of a vent??? Austin is on many pieces of equipment, and that does no scare me as much as the pain issue.
ANY INSIGHT WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!!!!!!
