Hello Annette,
I had a bronchioscope done 12 times to remove mucous plugs deep in
my bronchi. This helped to reinflate a collapsed lung. This was done via
the trach tube. I had zylocane squirted down the trach tube so I did not
feel the scope at all. I had to be on oxygen for a day after just as a
precaution against infection. It is a-lot easier down a trach tube than
through the mouth thank God for trach tubes.!
