Can non invasive ventilation be used by someone with absolutely no ability
to breathe on there own?

I don't understand the fear of having a trach. It's out of the way. I for
one wouldn't want to wear something on my face. As I understand it, one
either has something over their mouth or on their nose. How do you eat?
What if you have a cold and have a stuffed nose?
