Thanks for your kind words for my friend Lillie. She uses non-invasive
ventilation. Her surgery is for breast cancer Oct. 10. Her surgeon opted
to let her die, not remove the breast, because he was afraid further
surgery would weaken her breathing more, and as he put it, he would not
want her to be "a respiratory cripple!" Lillie was afraid, thanks to her
omnipotent doctor, that she would have no quality of life. Thankfully,
because of the comments of so many of you, I was able to convince her
that even if she did end up with a trach, she would still have quality of
life. I don't believe she will be trached. Our respiratory doctor
promotes non-invasive ventilation. I'll keep you all posted as to her
progress. Please pray for her!
