Charlie,
I, too, use the thermo vents and change them about every other day as Val
does. I have a nebulizer, too, that I've used when I get a really bad cold.
As a rule, I have to suction 2 - 3 times in the morning when I get up, and
that pretty much takes care of the secretions for the day. Sometimes when I
go back on the vent, the secretions wake up again or come alive, and I have
to suction. When I have a cold, however, I go through dozens of suctions
kits. I am really glad that suctioning helps me because I just have no
strength to cough. I hope that you can find something that works for your
situation, Charlie.
