Frank,
I have an "Exsufalator or Coughalator". I vaguely remember you writing
about your respiratory equip co getting you one and not being able to use
it do to broken ribs. My understanding is that it was developed for polio
patients who because of paralysis of the diaphram muscles could not cough
adequately. Sounds like it was made for people like you in mind. I was
using one of the first models from 1953 for several years. I'm a 34 year
old with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. I'm vent dependant and also have an
ineffective cough. In essense this machine can cough for me. What else do
you need to know?
