<< Another thing he recommends is to provide patients an
oximeter for home use because itīs very useful to detect decreases in the
SaO2 value in case of respiratory infection and guide home therapy. Then my
question not only for you but for other people in the list is: Who has an
oximeter at home?
Dr. J.M. Quiroga

The more unstable ventilater clients have home pulse oximetry here in
Nebraska. This usually includes children, people with COPD, and people who do
not fully rely on the ventilator for their respiration.
I have a question. Is there any way to check the C02 level of the client
in the home? Thanks, Cindy RN
Ps I have a new ventilator client, SCI C 5 secondary to gunshot wound. His
vent is called the "BEAR 3" , which is new to me. Anyone hear of it or have
it? My ears have to get used to a new alarm.
