Blane,
My husband loved your words. I hate to disillusion you but Danny Quail
lives closer to YOU. He moved to Arizona! I have to eat some humble pie.
Not all the disabled folks in IN are as wimpy as I led you to believe.
Yesterday, Rick & I met with a disabled VR counselor. She didn't believe
in rocking the boat and I couldn't get her motivated in our movement
though I tried. I always had tremendous respect for her. She was beaten
down by society. Imagine my utter SHOCK when she informed us she had gone
to an ADAPT rally in DC! I was stunned! Delighted! She said, she never
could have imagined that at her age (50's) she'd be protesting. But she
doesn't want to end up in a nursing home. By golly, she "gets" it now.
Apathy can be overcome. I have more to tell you Blane but I'll do it
later. My one finger is getting tired. I am thinking about getting
"Dragon Dictate." If I am this verbose with one finger, with dictate I'll
be able to compose dissertations! So glad you're out there!
