I go out all the time. I work 40 hours a week outside of my home. I spend
my weekends at the mall, at the movies, all over. I carry an emergency kit
(it's a red tackle box) in the back of my van. I have a spare circuit and a
spare suction kit (in case my nurse forgets to bring mine from home). In my
"E-kit" are suction catheters, a brand new trach, ky, trach sponges, a baggy
of fish, Q-tips, adapters, flexi-tube, etc. I am prepared for just about any
emergency. My ambu-bag is on my chair and I'm always near my van. I have an
adapter for my vent that can plug into my cigarette lighter for power. I
also have another adapter to run the suction machine from the lighter. I
don't stress at all because of it.
