Trach Problems

I am still dealing with some defective trachs. Since mid September I have
tried 5 Shiley size 6 cuffless trachs. Each one has had severe leakage
between the trach tube and the inner cannula. The only way it is sealed is
by using a rubber band. It is very frustrating. My medical supplier has
talked to Shiley several times. So called Quality Control at Shiley has
narrowed the problem to what I described. (So I am not crazy), But they
cannot figure out way it is happening.

We have looked into other companies..but had little luck from some reason.
We did get a Simms Portex trach today. I haven't tried it because I not
sure I like it. Does any of you vent users have such a trach and tell me
what you think of it? It just looks different from what I am used to...

I could use some help..I am becoming very very frustrated with this whole
situation.
