Hi all,
I need to vent(no pun intented) alittle here..so I hope you don't mind. I
have to agree with those of you that think that our insurance companies
should buy our vents out right instead of renting them. I have had my vent
for 5 years and my insurance is still renting it and the rest of my
equipment i found out too, you would think they after that many damn years
they would of bought it. I'm about to ready take my (actually my dads, i
live at home and and am still covered by his insurance) insuance
compamy(BC&BS). They joined with this thing called the Northwood/National
Provider Network, its a network of homehealth care and suppliers. Well my
supplier isn't on the list BC&BS, so they will not cover the cost of my
vent or other equipment, so I have to find a supplier that is on the list.
Makes me so damn mad!! What even makes me more madder is there is ONLY 2
homecare suppliers in Michigan that are part of the network! I am renting
all my equipment so it all has to go back to the homecare supplier I am
using now and get all new equipment from the new one that i will be
switching to(under protest, I don't want to switch but have no choice!!)
Insurance companies must get thier jollies by screwing with us! GRRRRR!! I
agree with you all about lobbying together to get changes made!!! LET THE
FIGHT BEGIN!!!!
