Happy Holidays, Everyone!

Hi Everybody!

I haven't posted to this forum in a long while. I've been busy starting up a
little home-based business for myself, getting ready for Christmas, etc.

I hope that all of you are staying healthy this winter. I thought that I was
coming down with a nasty cold a few weeks ago, but fortunately the symptoms
only lasted a week and they weren't that severe. Experiencing those first
cold symptoms are enough to put me into panic mode because for most of my life
a cold would knock me out of commission for weeks and sometimes put me into
the hospital with pneumonia. Panic really is my initial reaction whenever I
feel like a cold is invading my body! Ever since I was trached in '89, my
health has been so much better! It's like a miracle! I don't get the number of
colds and bronchial infections that I used to get. And if I do get something,
at least today I can suction myself! My trach, my vent, my O2 concentrator,
and my suction machine are among my many blessings!

My husband, daughter, and I will be spending a quiet Christmas alone this
year. Most of my family is in the Midwest and my husband's is in California.
Some neighbors invited us to spend the day with them, but we declined. We are
looking forward to a very relaxing holiday; this is the first time in many
years that we won't be having company. It will seem good to just be!

Merry Christmas! Happy Hannukka! Happy Winter Solstice! Happy Kwanza! Whatever
you celebrate and wherever you will be, I wish you good tidings and good
health!
