I too have my boyfriend change my trach. I went for almost two years
without changing a trach, but now change about every 8 weeks or so. When
we first started I was scared to death but he is quite a pro at it now and
it takes just seconds.

I have been lucky in the fact that I have had no scar tissue etc. that
sometimes be bothersome with a trach.
