Hi Olga,
I am glad that you contacted our list. I have a couple of ideas. You
mentioned that your dad enjoys it when you read to him. Are you aware of
the talking book program for the blind & disabled? It's a great program.
They provide, free of charge, a special four-track cassette player. Most
of the best sellers are available and the readers are superb! There is no
postage required for mailing back books. Look in your phone book or call
your local library for more info. I don't know where you live, but most
cities have a RADIO REAING SERVICE FOR THE BLIND & DISABLED. This is also
a great service. They read "current newspapers" and other disability
related publications. My husband & I started a service back in the
1980's. We always emphasized that it was also for those with physical
impairments. It has always been difficult for me to turn the pages of a
book, especially paper backs. My prayers are with you and your family!
