Ola,

I am not paralyzed but I use a vent full time due to chronic respiratory
failure secondary to scoliosis. I have adapted a walker on wheels to
transport my vent so that I can walk about. I use an LP6 by Aequitron
and it weighs about 35 pounds. I can lift it from the walker to the car
myself. I keep it attached to an external battery which can then be
charged through the vent when it is plugged in.
