If properly trained, as your supplier will train any individual BTW ( trust me
ya dont hafta be a rocket scientist to learn this stuff) ya dont hafta be an
RN either, unless you are getting your assistants thru an agency. I did this
for 5 years as a free lancer, i had worked at vencor as a CNA for 5 years
before that. until they were telling people that they couldnt go live on their
own and they had to go to a nursing home etc, this did not set well :) ( most
of u are familiar with vencor, and i dont advertize for them, trust me on this
one. Keep in mind they are a FOR PROFIT organization, and MAAAYYYAAAN do they
profit!!!)
Anyways, i have been reading this newsgroup for a few years now, and this one
got me to respond! Dont believe anyone who tells you you HAVE to do this or
that! Most people wrongfully believe that whatever a doc etc tells them is
right because they have their best interest in mind, when actually what they
have is their OWN financial interest in mind!
There are people out there ( admittedly not enough, but there are SOME) that
are willing to help out, and believe me, i didnt do it for 5 years for the
money!
