I have PPS and wouldn't be alive today without my vents (a BiPAP and a
PLV100) and additional oxygen. Either vent by itself has trouble holding
my blood oxygen up to 90% of saturation. Add the oxygen (5 l/m) and my
blood oxygen climbs to 97-100% of saturation. Without this combination
treatment I am a good candidate for pulmonary hypertension and a heart
attack. Just the additional oxygen caused my blood pressure to drop
40 points into a more acceptable range.
When can I find the clinical studies showing oxygen is contraindicated
for PPS? I would like to know why I do so well while in violation of
this belief.
