Condassholes

A closer view of the condominium property development assholes.  They probably sold each unit for half a million dollars and made the property worth a gazillion collectively, pocketing a whole lot of cash, but notice where all the life is?  All on the public side of the fence.  Not a balcony or slip occupied despite the 77 degree weather.

Juanita Beach East

This is the eastern most portion of Juanita Beach.  The fence you see is the assholes fence.  Most of Kirkland’s Lake Washington waterfront is private property although there are perhaps half a dozen parks as well.  In down town Kirkland, although much of the water front is private property, Kirkland required that property owners provide a public walkway, so you can walk along most of the waterfront, even where it is private property, but not so for these butt-holes in Juanita, and if you saw more to the right you’d see mostly empty slips, so although the public can’t use the Lake front there, they aren’t really using it either.  This is what happens when land developers either constitute city councils or own them.  We have the same problem here in Shoreline.

Today’s Daily Bread Bible Verses

I’m sure this was intended to insure us that God is present in the midst of calamity. For me it heightens anxiety because I’m thinking, okay if God is bringing me this message it probably means calamity is coming.  I have no doubt God was present with me during my incarceration.  Getting through it seemed like a series of threats, challenges, and miracles, and without the miracles I wouldn’t have survived.  The experience was valuable but by no means pleasant.  I still feel weary and tired and not ready to take on more calamity.

Matthew 8:23-27King James Version (KJV)

23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him.

24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep.

25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying, Lord, save us: we perish.

26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith? Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm.

27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

Puffy AmiYumi – Dare Ga Sore O

This is the last thing I listened to tonight before going to bed.

(I haven’t a clue what they’re singing since I don’t speak Japanese but it sure sounds peaceful.)

Here is a Google translation of the Japanese lyrics. Would be interested to know how close Google comes.

On top of the cold cold hill
A strong flower white flowers
In deep, deep darkness of the valley
The lights that do not disappear the small fire
Who Why is it it
The love that is common to us someday
The times have Kai-i land and sea
Lightly wind of fresh air
Still young children
A real melody a real song
Who is and where it it
Now you guys to a happy night

White flowers on top of the hill
A small fire in the darkness of the valley
the way to live to those who hang in there
The resulting body of the stunning people
The love of the sign in the sun
The cherry season to that mountain
This Asia in love line
That girl to that Nagisa
I work Nehorihahori
Love not enough

Wetlands

You have to be there to really grasp this.  In Juanita Beach park they’ve got an area about 50 feet square where the grass and brush isn’t maintained.  It’s dry as the Sahara, you can tell that by the brown color of the overgrown grass, but they call it Wetland none the less.
