Avid fan of "bourbon straight with a bourbon chaser" Johnny Morrison returns home from the war to find out his wife's been unfaithful in his absence. On a rainy night, Mrs. Morrison is murdered. The police figure Johnny did it. Helped by a mysterious woman, Johnny tries to solve the murder in a quest that will take him to someone close to him.
