Bank robber Roy Earle has his prison sentence commuted. Too bad it's not for good behaviour--his backer wants Roy to do one last job. Roy thinks it'll be the way to settle down with innocent young Velma but another woman stands in his way. Instead of a femme fatale, this film features possibly the only chien fatale in noir.
