4/6 Dallas activated Mark Bryant and Donnell Harvey and placed Greg
Buckner (dislocated left kneecap) and Obinna Ekezie (strained left
Achilles) on IR.
4/5 Vernon Maxwell left the Atlanta game with a strained groin.
4/5 Greg Buckner did not play in the Atlanta game due to a dislocated
left kneecap.
4/3 Greg Buckner suffered a dislocated knee cap during the 2nd quarter
of the Houston game.
3/28 Juwan Howard dislocated his left ring finger at the end of the
Portland game. X-rays were negative.
3/28 Assistant coach Rolando Blackman suffered a torn left Achilles
tendon while playing 3-on-3 during Tuesday's practice. He flew
back to Dallas and is expected to undergo surgery on Thursday.
3/20 Gary Trent missed the Portland, Phoenix, and Minnesota games with a
bruised right knee.
3/9 Greg Buckner did not play in the Golden State, Miami, and Orlando
games due to a sprained left foot.
2/20 Don Nelson returned to the bench as coach of the Mavs for the Lakers
game for first time since undergoing prostate cancer surgery January

2/15 Etan Thomas will undergo surgery on his right toe on Friday to fuse
together a fracture that is not healing. He will miss the rest of
the season.
2/13 Steve Nash did not play in the San Antonio, New York, Atlanta, and
Golden State games due to a sore left hamstring.
2/1 Steve Nash left the Miami game after the 1st quarter due to a sore
left hamstring.
1/20 Steve Nash (strained left hamstring) did not play in the Denver or
Orlando games.
1/17 Steve Nash (strained left hamstring) and Gary Trent (flu) did not
play in the Charlotte game.
1/15 Steve Nash did not play in the Sacramento, Phoenix, or Milwaukee
games due to the flu and a strained left hamstring.
1/6 Courtney Alexander did not play in the Washington, Toronto, or
Detroit games due to the flu.
1/4 Don Nelson underwent successful surgery for prostate cancer. The
doctor said that it looks like the cancer had not spread and called
the surgery "routine and successful". Nelson will remain in the
hospital for the next 3 to 5 days. He will then return to his
off-season home in Maui while recovering for 6 to 8 weeks.
1/3 Due to medication that was making him ill and having to fast for 48
hours before his surgery, Don Nelson did not coach in the Detroit
game.
12/28 Loy Vaught did not play in the LA Clippers or Seattle games due to
a bruised right knee.
12/6 Eduardo Najera (right groin strain) did not play in the New York
game.
12/5 Steve Nash (bruised right calf) and Eduardo Najera (right groin
strain) did not play in the Houston game.
12/3 Steve Nash (strained right calf), Hubert Davis (strained left groin),
and Eduardo Najera (sprained ankle) did not play in the LA Lakers
game.
12/2 Greg Buckner (sprained right foot) and Hubert Davis (strained left
groin) did not play in the Golden State or Portland games.
11/30 Eduardo Najera only played 4 minutes in the Portland game due to a
sprained ankle.
11/30 Don Nelson missed the Portland game due to undergoing a biopsy on
his swollon prostate.
11/28 Hubert Davis suffered a strained left groin late in the 4th quarter
of the Toronto game and left the game. He says he will play in the
Portland game.
11/28 Greg Buckner (sprained right foot) did not play in the Toronto,
Denver, Seattle, Utah, or Vancouver games.
11/28 Etan Thomas is wearing a cast on his right foot to protect a
11/20 Dirk Nowitzki suffered a strained left shoulder when Karl Malone
_twice_ (with no foul called either time) hit Nowitzki hard on the
arm causing the to swing ackwardly during the Utah game. He left
the game for good after the 2nd hit with about 3 minutes left in the
game. He does not expect to miss the Seattle game.
11/17 Greg Buckner left the Seattle game in the 4th quarter with a
sprained ankle.
11/13 Eduardo Najera (bruised right shin) did not play in the LA Clippers
game.
11/10 Dirk Nowitzki suffered a sprained left shoulder Thursday, but did
play in Friday's San Antonio game.
11/8 Greg Buckner did not play in the Vancouver, Denver, or Utah games
due to a sprained ligament in his right foot.
10/26 Michael Finley had his wisdom teeth pulled hours before the Utah
game. He played in the game (and didn't tell anyone that he had his
teeth removed until Friday).
10/26 Gary Trent (strained right hip) and Etan Thomas (sprained big toe)
did not play in the Utah and Denver games.
10/21 Dallas released Ace Custis, Mike Jones, and Jamal Kendrick.
10/20 Gary Trent (strained right hip), Etan Thomas (sprained big toe),
Hubert Davis (flu), and Jamal Kendrick (bruised calf) did not play
in the Miami game.
10/18 Gary Trent (strained right hip), Etan Thomas (sprained big toe),
Howard Eisley (sprained right ankle), and Jamal Kendrick (bruised
calf) did not play in the Toronto game.
10/17 Gary Trent (strained right hip), Etan Thomas (sprained big toe),
Eduardo Najera (sore ankle), Howard Eisley (sprained right ankle),
and Jamal Kendrick (bruised calf) did not play in the Detroit or
San Antonio game.
10/13 Howard Eisley suffered a sprained right ankle during the 1st quarter
of the Phoenix game and did not play the rest of the game.
10/10 Gary Trent suffered a strained right groin during the Houston game.
10/10 Injury update: For tonight's game Etan Thomas is doubtful with a
sprained right big toe, Donnell Harvey is questionable with a
bruised hip, and Jamal Kendrick is out indefinitely with a bruised
calf. Alexander has been practicing with the team.
10/6 Courtney Alexander did not play in the blue-and-white scrimmage game
due to sprained ligaments in two fingers on his right hand. He is
listed as day-to-day. Jamal Kendrick also did not play in the game.
