2005-06 Mavs Injuries
6/20 Jerry Stackhouse received 3 stitches on the top of his head
during game 6 as a result of receiving an inadvertant elbow.
6/8 Jerry Stackhouse suffered a cut on his nose late in the 2nd
quarter of game 1 vs Miami and had to get 3 stitches during
halftime.
5/24 Josh Howard suffered a sprained right ankle during the 1st
quarter of game 1 and did not return.
5/23 DeSagana Diop was fitted with a face mask to protect his broken
nose and he will wear it indefinitely.
5/22 DeSagana Diop suffered a broken nose early in the overtime of
game 7 at San Antonio, but he continued playing.
5/13 Dirk Nowitzki suffered a sprained left ankle late in the 4th
quarter of game 4, but was able to continue playing.
5/1 Marquis Daniels did not play in game 4 of the Memphis series due
to a strained right hamstring.
4/19 Dirk Nowitzki did not play in the Clippers game due to resting.
Josh Howard and Jason Terry only played in the 1st quarter of
the Clippers game due to resting. Jerry Stackhouse only played
in the 1st half of the Clippers game due to resting. Darrell
Armstrong suffered a sprained ankle during the 2nd quarter of the
Clippers game and did not return. Adrian Griffin suffered a cut
lip during the Clippers game that required 2 stitches, but he did
return to play.
4/19 Dallas recalled Pavel Podkolzin from the NBADL and activated him
and placed Marquis Daniels on IL with a strained left hamstring.
4/16 Marquis Daniels left the Utah game during the 2nd quarter with a
strained left hamstring.
4/16 Dallas activated Jerry Stackhouse and placed Devin Harris on IL
with a sore left leg.
4/13 DeSagana Diop did not play in the Phoenix game due to coach
Johnson electing to rest him. Devin Harris did not play in the
2nd half of the Phoenix game as the plan going into the game was
to only play him in the 1st half.
4/13 Dallas activated Devin Harris and placed Jerry Stackhouse on IL.
Stackhouse does not have an injury, just getting some rest.
4/8 Adrian Griffin did not play in the New Orleans, San Antonio, or
Sacramento games due to a strained left hamstring.
4/4 Keith Van Horn underwent surgery on his right hand.
4/2 Adrian Griffin (strained right hamstring) and Marquis Daniels
(strained neck) did not play in the Denver game.
4/2 Keith Van Horn suffered a broken right hand during the 3/31
game vs Orlando.
3/31 Marquis Daniels (strained neck) and DJ Mbenga (suspended) did not
play in the Orlando game.
3/29 Adrian Griffin (strained right hamstring) did not play in the
Cleveland, Detroit, or Atlanta games.
3/23 Keith Van Horn (sprained left MCL) and Adrian Griffin (strained
right hamstring) did not play in the Golden State, Houston, New
Jersey, Washington, @Houston, or Cleveland games.
3/14 Dallas activated Keith Van Horn and placed Josh Howard on IL with
a strained left hamstring.
3/12 Josh Howard did not play in the 2nd half of the Sacramento game
due his strained left hamstring.
3/12 Adrian Griffin did not play in the Sacramento game due to his
strained right hamstring.
3/11 Adrian Griffin left the Utah game during the 4th quarter with
a srtrained right hamstring and did not return.
3/11 Devin Harris left the Utah game during the 1st quarter with a
strained left quad and did not return.
3/6 Josh Howard did not play in the Phoenix game due to a strained
left hamstring.
3/3 Josh Howard left the Charlotte game during the 2nd quarter with
a strained left hamstring and did not return.
3/3 Keith Van Horn left the Charlotte game during the 1st quarter
with a sprained left knee and did not return.
2/27 Dirk Nowitzki suffered a sprained ankle early in the 3rd
quarter of the Philadelphia game, but did return to action for
the 4th quarter.
2/27 Josh Howard (sprained right ankle) and Keith Van Horn (ill)
did not play in the Philadelphia game.
2/27 Dallas activated Josh Howard and placed Devin Harris on IL
with a strained left quad.
2/25 Dallas activated Josh Powell and placed Josh Howard on IL with
a sprained right ankle.
2/23 Josh Howard suffered a sprained right ankle during the 1st
quarter of the Memphis game. He did return to play in the 2nd
quarter, but was unable to play in the 2nd half.
2/13 Desagana Diop suffered a cut below his left eye during the 3rd
quarter and received 5 stitches. He was able to return later
in the game.
2/10 Dallas activated Josh Powell and placed Devin Harris on IL with
a strained left quad.
1/26 Darrell Armstrong left the Seattle game during the 4th quarter
with a strained neck and did not return.
1/26 Devin Harris did not play in the Seattle game due to a
strained right shoulder.
1/25 Devin Harris left the Golden State game right before halftime
with a strained shoulder and did not return.
1/23 Keith Van Horn did not play in the Portland, LA Clippers, or
Houston games due to a sprained left ankle.

after aggravating his strained neck.
12/18 Del Harris did not coach in the Minnesota game due to the flu.

IL with a strained neck.

with a strained neck and did not return.

11/17 Dallas activated Keith Van Horn and placed Doug Christie on
IL with a sore left ankle.
11/15 Dallas activated Rawle Marshall and placed Keith Van Horn on
IL with a sprained middle finger on his right hand.
11/9 Devin Harris suffered a sprained left ankle late in the 3rd
quarter of the Philadelphia game and did not return.
11/9 Dirk Nowitzki suffered a strained lower back late in the 2nd
quarter of the Philadelphia game and did not return.
11/4 Jerry Stackhouse is expected to be out 2 weeks with a bone
bruise on his right knee.
11/1 Pavel underwent surgery on the stress fracture in his right
foot to insert 2 screws. He will be on crutches for 6 weeks
and is expected to be out 3 to 4 months.
10/28 Pavel Podkolzin has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in
his right foot. He is scheduled to undergo surgery next week
and then will be out 3 to 4 months.
10/27 Jerry Stackhouse did not play in the Detroit game due to a
sore right knee.
10/25 Jerry Stackhouse (sore right knee) and Erick Dampier (strained
right hip) did not play in the Milwaukee and LA Clippers games.
10/21 Jerry Stackhouse (sore right knee), Erick Dampier (strained
right hip), and Pavel Podkolzin (sprained right big toe) did
not play in the New York game.
10/18 Jerry Stackhouse (sore right knee) and Pavel Podkolzin
(sprained right big toe) did not play in the Detroit or New
York games.
10/12 Keith Van Horn did not play in the Clippers game due to a
sprained right thumb.
10/11 Keith Van Horn suffered a sprained right thumb during the
3rd quarter of the Sacramento game and did not return.
6/3 Michael Finley underwent successful arthroscopic surgery on his
right ankle to remove bone chips.
