6/28 With the #28 pick in the 2006 draft, Dallas selected Maurice Ager
(G, 6-5, 202, Michigan State'06).
6/28 Dallas selected J.R. Pinnock with the #58 pick, but the selection
was made for the LA Lakers as Dallas traded that pick to the
Lakers for Miami's 2007 2nd round draft pick.
6/28 Dallas announced that they would not renew assistant coach
Charlie Parker's contract. Parker had been with Dallas since 1996.
6/20 The NBA fined Mark Cuban $250,000 for "several acts of
misconduct following game 5.
6/19 The NBA fined Dirk Nowitzki $5,000 for kicking the ball into
the stands following game 5.
6/18 Dallas activated DJ Mbenga and placed Josh Powell on IL.
6/16 The NBA suspended Jerry Stackhouse for 1 game for his flagrant
foul on Shaquille O'Neal during Thursday's Mia-Dal game 4. His
flagrant foul was also upgraded to a level 2.
6/2 Dallas placed DJ Mbenga on the suspended list.
6/1 The NBA suspended DJ Mbenga for 6 games for going in to the
stands to see what the commotion was between Avery Johnson's wife
and some fans during Tuesday's game 4 in Phoenix. The league
ruled no fines or suspensions for owner Mark Cuban, who also
entered the stands.
5/24 Dallas activated Josh Powell and placed DJ Mbenga on IL.
5/19 Dallas activated Darrell Armstrong and placed Josh Powell on IL.
5/18 The NBA suspended Jason Terry for 1 game for throwing a punch
at Michael Finley during Wednesday's Dal-SA game.
5/17 Dirk Nowitzki was named to the All-NBA First Team. Nowitzki
received 584 points including 105 1st team votes in the media
voting. LeBron James (Cle), Shaquille O'Neal (Mia), Kobe Bryant
(LAL), and Steve Nash (Pho) joined Nowitzki on the First Team.
5/15 Dallas activated Keith Van Horn and placed Darrell Armstrong on
IL with a left knee contusion. Van Horn did not play in Game 4.
5/10 The NBA fined Mark Cuban $100,000 for going on the court during
Monday's game 1 at San Antonio to complain about a non-call and
$100,000 for criticizing on his blog how the league selects
playoff refs.
5/3 The NBA fined Dirk Nowitzki $15,000 and assessed him a flagrant
foul level 2 for throwing an elbow at the chest of Pau Gasol during
Monday's Dal-Mem game.
4/25 Avery Johnson was named as Coach of the Year. Johnson received
63 of a possible 124 media 1st place votes and had a total of
419 points.
4/20 Rawle Marshall and Pavel Podkolzine were left off of the
playoff roster.

NBADL. The Fort Worth Flyers play in the NBADL Finals on Saturday.

4/16 Dallas activated Jerry Stackhouse and placed Devin Harris on IL
with a sore left leg.
4/14 The NBA fined Erick Dampier $5,000 and upgraded his flagrant
foul level 1 to a level 2 for his foul on Shawn Marion during
Thursday's Dal-Pho game.

Stackhouse does not have an injury, just getting some rest.

is affiliated with the new Fort Worth Flyers.
8/26 Dallas named Rolando Blackman and Joe Prunty as assistant coaches.
8/26 Dallas announced Mark Followill as the new TV play-by-play man and
Chuck Cooperstein as the new radio play-by-play man. Followill
had been the radio play-by-play man for the past few years.
Cooperstein had been hosting the post-game radio show for the past
couple of years. Matt Pinto left the Mavs' TV play-by-play job
this summer to join the Clippers as their radio play-by-play man.
8/19 Dallas signed Doug Christie to a 3 year, $9.72 million contract
with the 2nd and 3rd years at the team's and player's option.
8/19 Dallas signed DeSagana Diop to a 3 year, $6.48 million contract.
