2/14 During the Legends Brunch on Sunday morning, a number of
former Mavs received Legends awards. Derek Harper recieved the Legends
Leadership Award, James Donaldson received the Legends ABC (?, business,
community) Award, Rolando Blackman received the Legends Pioneer Award, Sam
Perkins received the Legends Humanitarian Award, and Mark Aguirre received
the Legends Career Achievement Award. Also, Alonzo Mourning received the
Legend of the Year Award.
2/13 Dirk Nowitzki hit the halfcourt shot to complete Team Texas'
shooting contest at 34.3 seconds in the finals of the Shooting Stars
competition to defeat Team Los Angeles, who had a time of 55.2 seconds.
In the first round, Team LA had a time of 1:00, Team Texas had a time of 1:28,
team Sacramento had a time of 1:46 and Team Atlanta had a time of 1:47 -
the top 2 teams advanced to the finals. Team Texas consisted of Nowitzki,
